Refund Policy

The Short Version

I want you to be happy with what I build. If you're not satisfied after seeing the first design draft, you get your deposit back in full. Once you approve the design and I continue building, the deposit is non-refundable — because the work has been done. Completed projects are non-refundable. Monthly hosting can be cancelled anytime with 14 days notice.

1. Project Deposit (50%)

All projects require a 50% deposit before work begins.

Before the first design draft: If you change your mind before I've delivered the first design draft, the deposit is fully refundable. No questions asked.

After the first design draft: If you're not satisfied with the initial design direction, you can request a full refund of the deposit at this stage. This is your "exit point" — the chance to walk away with no cost if the project isn't heading where you want.

After approving the design: Once you approve the design and give the go-ahead to continue building, the deposit becomes non-refundable. At this point significant work has been completed based on your approval.

2. Final Payment (Remaining 50%)

The remaining 50% is due upon project completion, before the site is deployed to its live domain.

Completed projects are non-refundable. You paid for the build, you received the build, and the code is yours. This applies regardless of whether you choose to continue with hosting.

3. Monthly Hosting & Maintenance

Hosting and maintenance is billed monthly in advance.

Cancellation: You can cancel at any time by giving 14 days written notice (email is fine). Your site will remain live for 60 days from your last paid month to give you time to make alternative arrangements.

Refunds: Monthly hosting fees are non-refundable for the current billing period. If you cancel mid-month, your service continues until the end of that paid month.

After the 60-day grace period: If no alternative hosting arrangement is made, the site will be taken offline. Code is retained for a further 30 days (90 days total) before permanent deletion. See Terms & Conditions for full details.

4. Add-on Services

Domain registration: Domain fees are non-refundable once the domain has been registered, as this is a third-party cost that cannot be reversed.

Business email: Included in the Professional package for 12 months. If cancelled before 12 months, no partial refund applies for the email component as it is bundled into the project fee.

Logo design: Refundable before the first draft is delivered. Non-refundable after the first draft, as the creative work has been completed.

5. Cancellation by Me

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a project (due to unforeseen circumstances), I will refund any payments made for work not yet delivered. If the project is partially complete, I will provide all work completed to date along with a pro-rata refund for undelivered portions.

6. How to Request a Refund

Email me at yagaswebdesign@gmail.com with your name, project details, and the reason for your request. I will respond within 7 business days.

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days using the same payment method as the original transaction.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If services are not provided with due care and skill, or are not fit for purpose, you may be entitled to a remedy regardless of this policy.
