Babayagas Web Designs is operated by Dane, based in Murray Bridge, South Australia. When this policy refers to "I", "me", or "my", it means the operator of Babayagas Web Designs. When it refers to "you" or "your", it means you — the visitor or client.

2. What Information I Collect

When you use the contact form: Your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

When you become a client: Your name, email address, phone number (if provided), business name, domain name, and payment details as needed to invoice you.

Automatically when you visit this site: Standard server logs including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This site uses Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form, which is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

I do not use cookies for tracking or analytics on this website. No third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) are installed.

3. How I Use Your Information

I use the information I collect to:

Respond to your enquiries
Provide the web development and hosting services you've engaged me for
Send you invoices and payment reminders
Communicate about your project (progress updates, questions, deliverables)
Maintain and troubleshoot your hosted website

I will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

In the course of providing services, your information may be processed by:

Google reCAPTCHA — spam protection on the contact form
PayPal / Stripe — if used for payment processing
Domain registrars — for domain registration services
Email providers — for business email setup services

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. I only share the minimum information necessary for them to provide their service.

5. Data Storage & Security

Contact form submissions are sent directly to my email — they are not stored in a database on this website.

Client project files and data are stored on secured VPS infrastructure with SSL encryption, regular backups, and access restricted to me only.

I take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. I cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

Contact form enquiries: Retained in my email for as long as needed to respond and follow up, then deleted.

Client data: Retained for the duration of our working relationship and for a reasonable period afterward (up to 2 years) for accounting and legal purposes, as required by Australian law.

Website code and backups: Retained for 90 days after hosting cancellation (see Terms & Conditions, Section 8), then permanently deleted.

7. Your Rights

Under Australian Privacy law, you have the right to:

Request access to the personal information I hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
Withdraw consent for any optional processing

8. Children's Privacy

This website and my services are not directed at children under 18. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
