Online Store with Admin PanelThe Brief
A family-run handmade goods business needed an online store where they could list products, take payments, and manage everything themselves without needing a developer every time they wanted to add a new item.
What I Built
- Full online store with 150+ handmade products across 8 categories
- Stripe checkout with live payment processing
- Custom lay-by system — 25% deposit, 4-6 week payment plans, auto-charging
- Customer accounts with order history and saved details
- 19-page admin panel for products, orders, customers, lay-bys, stocktake, and analytics
- Stock management with made/unmade tracking for handmade workflow
- Shipping calculator by postcode
- SEO setup with structured data, sitemap, and meta tags
- Built-in analytics dashboard with real visitor tracking
The Result
The store went live with a full product catalogue, a working cart, Stripe checkout, and a custom lay-by option that most template platforms can't do out of the box. The owner lists and edits her own products, tracks stock through a crafting workflow, fulfils orders through the admin panel, and watches real visitor traffic in the dashboard — zero developer involvement for day-to-day operations.

Community Voting Platform
Members platform with live rankings & user accountsThe Brief
A members community needed a platform where list owners could submit their own entries, have members vote for them, and see their position on a live leaderboard. It had to prevent vote manipulation, let owners manage their listings without needing a developer, and be architected to handle growth.
What I Built
- User registration and authentication system
- Listing submission and self-service management by the owner
- Real-time voting with live leaderboard updates
- Anti-fraud measures to block vote manipulation and bot attacks
- Owner dashboard for editing listings, tracking votes, and viewing stats
- Public API so third parties can verify votes programmatically
- Search and filtering designed to scale with the list count
The Result
A live, working platform built from scratch in custom PHP and MySQL. Every piece — auth, listing management, voting, anti-fraud, the API, the admin dashboard — is hand-coded and holds up under real traffic. It's proof that a one-person operation can build actual software, not just brochure sites. The fact that the platform is young and the leaderboard is still filling up is actually the point: the day a new list owner signs up, the code handles it without me touching anything.

Local Business Directory with Search & ListingsThe Brief
Murray Bridge needed a proper local business directory: a central place where residents can find businesses in the area and where business owners can get their name out there online.
What I Built

The Result
355+ Murray Bridge businesses listed, 110+ pages already indexed by Google, and the directory now ranks on the first page of search results for multiple local queries. It's also live proof to prospective clients that I can build a site that actually performs in local search — not just look nice when it launches.
